The webserver components communicate solely with the database. There is no writing to the webserver's file system. This means that even the tightest corporate environments will not have problems running the Enterprise Edition.
The Enterprise Edition is able to process a very high level of forms. Where extra load or redundancy is required, the server components work with load-balanced servers.

- Respondents can save partially completed forms and retrieve them later.
Forms can be temporarily saved during completion and can then be retrieved or passed on to someone else. This is particularly useful for large forms which cannot reasonably be completed in one sitting.
Passing forms to others allows for powerful workflow type applications simply using a link, user name and a password to re-open forms.

Many users want to integrate forms with their portal or web site. A common requirement is for a web site visitor to log on to the web site and at some point be asked to complete a form. At this point you would like to be able to pass into the form data associated with the logged in person. Then, when the person submits the form, you will end up with a complete record of response and user data.
Enterprise allows a developer to hook into the server components. This is a very simple process that allows events (ASP scripts) to be triggered whenever a form is about to be displayed or submitted. The developer can then either a) populate certain form fields just before the form is shown or b) intercept the data after it has been submitted and just before it is stored in the database. This approach allows FormArtist to be very tightly and easily integrated into Portals, Intranets and General Websites.
